*2022 ANNUAL MOUNT MERCY ASCENSION*

*SECRETARIAT REPORT*
The 2022 Theme for the Mount Mercy Ascension was tagged *Remember your Covenant Oh Lord* Ranti Majemu Re Oluwa (Psalm 105:8).
The Ascension of *Mount Mercy* of the *CHERUBIM & SERAPHIM AGBALA ANU CHURCH OF NIGERIA AND OVERSEAS* for the year 2022 started on Thursday November 24th, 2022 and ended on Sunday November 27th, 2022.
It was a four day programme.
*DAY 1*
PRE-ASCENSION VIGIL
This was held at the *Mercy Ground* in the premises of the International Cathedral of the Conference at Oke Imale, Lanlate, Ibarapa East LGA, Oyo State.
It started 9pm.
*DAY 2*
PROCESSIONAL SERVICE
This started around 4pm at the *Mercy Ground*.
Immediately after the service, the procession to *Mount Mercy* started.
The congregants were led by the Army of Salvation and each member had to pass under a *priestly ark* mounted by the *Egbe Babanla Mejila*(The Band of 12 Elders).
At the feet of the mountain, the faithful pilgrims waited for the arrival of the Spiritual Head *HIS EMINENCE BABA ALADURA DR SAMSON ADEGOKE ADEROUNMU, JP* who led the church at the forefront to the mountain.
FIRST SERVICE ON THE MOUNTAIN
At 6pm on the procession, *at the STATION OF PENITENCE (Ori-Oke Idariji)* the first service on the mountain was held.
SECOND SERVICE ON THE MOUNTAIN
There was dinner for every pilgrims before 10pm when the service started as a vigil programme down to the dawn of the other day Saturday.
*DAY 3*
HEALTH SEMINAR
The Health Seminar started at 10am and the Resource personnel was Snr Lady Evang. Opeyemi Oladipo.
The lecture session was basically on *How best to live our life to avoid health challenges* and how to tackle these challenges when they occur.
There after there was a revival followed by *solitary silent session*.
There was a special Prayer session for okada riders and motorist as their representatives were summon to the mountain for a prayer session for safety in the line of duty.
There was the second dinner session.
VIGIL SESSION
There was a vigil session which started by 10pm.
There was revival session coordinated by the Conference chairman *Snr Supt Ap. Moses Adeleke Olokun JP*.
*DAY 4*
RECESSIONAL SERVICE
There was a service at 8am which launched the recessional procession down the mountain.
The Recession was led by the Army of Salvation as each member had to pass under a *priestly ark* mounted by the *Egbe Babanla Mejila*(The Band of 12 Elders).
The Spiritual Head *HIS EMINENCE BABA ALADURA DR SAMSON ADEGOKE ADEROUNMU, JP* was the last to leave mountain.
ON ARRIVAL
At the church HQs Oke Imale, there was a brief prayer session and the grace was said by the spiritual head.
A rite of Freedom & Liberty was observed by the spiritual head and a dove was set free in symbolism at around 11:42pm.
*CONFERENCE BOARD MEETING*
The Conference Board consisting of the *Board of Trustee* (BoT) and the *National Executive Council* (NEC) met with the Spiritual Head in a closed door meeting which assessed:
1. The 2022 Mount Mercy Ascension pilgrim.
And planned for:
2. The 2022 Memorial Service of the Planter of AGBALA ANU Conference I.e. the 40th Anniversary of Late Baba Aladura Joseph Oladipo Olagunju.
At the meeting:
The *Conference Board* considered, reviewed, resolved and agreed as follows:
*FINANCE OF 2022 MOUNT MERCY ASCENSION*
1. The planning income realised was yet to be updated and the Finance officers have been directed to update same before Conference meeting.
2. The 2022 Mount Mercy Day 1 to Day 4 income realised was put at *N227, 460*(Two hundred & twenty seven thousand, four hundred and sixty naira only.)
3. The expenses before the event, during the event and after the event has been asked to be prepared up to date before the conference meeting by the finance officers.
*PLANNED 2022 MEMORIAL SERVICE*
1. A Budget of *N200,000.00* (Two hundred thousand was adopted.
2. For easy planning and administration, the Constituent churches of AGBALA ANU was *grouped under 4 grouping*
1. Group A Churches 3
2. Group B Churches 2
3. Group C Churches 2
4. Group D Churches 5
To know the group classification of your church, attend the coming conference meeting.
For the Memorial service a levy of N50,000 to N4,000 was placed upon constituent churches.
Each church would be communicated by SMS for their levies.
